The air is growing cooler and the leaves are changing into a beautiful array of colors around our Durham apartments. Fall is here and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. While your family is spending more time indoors, making Thanksgiving crafts for kids is a great way to keep your children entertained.
One of the great Thanksgiving crafts for kids you can make is a foam turkey magnet. Trace your child’s hand on colorful foam and cut out of three different sketches. Glue them together to create a half-circle, which will be the turkey’s tail. Cut out pieces to form the body, beak, and gobble. Add a magnet to the back so that the turkey can be proudly displayed on the fridge.
You can cut the leftover foam into small square pieces. Your child can glue these pieces onto an oval shaped piece of paper or foam to create a mosaic corn.
