Take a trip to Thailand, wear your tails and help out some deserving animals. One the great upcoming charity events near our apartments in Durham is the Black Tie and Tails Ball on February 23, 2013.
Held in the elegant Washington Duke Inn on the Duke Campus in Durham, this annual event supports Carolina Tiger Rescue which helps give sanctuary to big cats taken from the pet trade industry.
This year’s Black Tie event uses the Many Faces of Thailand as its theme and features a wonderful night of food, drinks, dancing and entertainment. One of the highlights of the evening is an entertaining live auction. Last year, folks went home with such items as a week at Beech Mountain, tickets to the Morehead Planetarium and dinner prepared by the executive chef for two at Capital City Club.
Tickets to the Black Tie and Tails Ball are $125 per person and include a choice of grilled beef tenderloin, pan roasted grouper or winter vegetable risotto. So, do something good for tigers, get dressed up and enjoy a fun night at this event near our apartments in Durham.
